From Music to Travel

I had been planning all along to keep the topics on this blog and in my presentations and podcast to music and technology. My practice presentation focused on how technology has changed the way we consume music. My podcast focused on how technology has changed how music is mastered, produced, and commercialized. For my final presentation, I had always been planning on expanding on these topics. I have even done a good deal of research into these topics already.

However, I have decided to take my final presentation in a different direction.

The question is how travel blogs have affected the travel writing network and the actual travelling of these writers. Travel writing has always been a popular pastime, but in recent years, travel blogs have built an enormous base of writers and readers. With the accessibility of blogging, more and more people are able to build websites, brands, and expertise in travel writing.

Not much research exists into this topic, as I am discovering quickly. Therefore this presentation will feature a great deal of "primary research" in the form of sifting through some of the most-read travel blogs online and their readership.
